New Trip means New Photos

In 29 days I'll be photographing in Hawaii!!!!! I can't wait. I will try and post a pic and do a blog report each day of the trip with the days various excursions.

The Real Bazaar

Gallery Exhibit

It is a happy day today. Two of my prints were selected for an Art Gallery Exhibit on the University campus. I was hoping for just one of them to be selected but they selected both. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

August 24th & 25th the 5th & 6th day of travel

Sorry I couldn't write those two days the wi-fi was acting wonky at the B&B. We went and visited the Marina and gardens the last two days plus we went back to the harbor. These are just two of the pictures that were taken. These pictures and others will be featured at Art Squared, September 17th and will be made available on my website Travel The World Photos.

April 23, 2011 - 4th day of trip

Had a long and busy day today. We drove to Bar Harbor and hit the shops. Then went to Acadia National Park on that peninsula. This picture was taken at the top of Cadillac Mountain. We also went to another peninsula to check out the working harbors there, unfortunately there wasn't anywhere to park so that we could get pictures of a true working harbor.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring but it's bound to be interesting!

April 22, 2011 - 3rd day of trip

Today we went to Acadia National Park Schoodic point and did the tourist shopping along US1. Found a nice antique shop and a gift shop that had some wonderful things. The picture was taken at Schoodic point. More shopping tomorrow!!

August 21, 2011 - 2nd Day of trip

We arrived at our destination in Maine about 1 hour ago. It is very foggy so there won't be any sunset pictures taken today. There will be a lot of hiking and sightseeing tomorrow. The first  this picture was taken this morning at sunrise. The second picture was taken at the beach in front of the B&B we are staying. It is very foggy and the humidity is 96 percent. It is suppose to storm  tonight and then I hope the skies will be clear in the morning.

August 20, 2011 - Day 1 of trip

We drove 574 miles today and are now in Rochester, NY. The drive didn't feel as long as it probably should have. We had periodic rest stops and took turns driving. Should be in Maine by 5pm tomorrow. The picture is of the waterfall in Rochester.

It has been a while since I have posted anything...

Coming up road trip begins August 22nd and we are headed to Prospect Harbor, Maine. Hope to get some great photo's. I will try and do a log while I'm there but an not making any promises, especially if I am out photographing all day (which is the hope)!!!

Day 2 New Orleans

We went to the Honey Island Swamp Tour. Where I got some awesome photo's.

Since we were so close to Mississippi we went there for lunch which was an adventure trying to find places to have lunch, we ended up eating in Waveland, Mississippi.

A couple of us rested while the others went for a walk around the French Quarter did a little shopping. We returned back to the house got ready and went to Bourbon Street. A lot of nice clubs which were a lot of fun and a lot of different types of music. In one place they were playing jazz and blues, another place a lot of 80's music, and then others that were playing a variety of dance hits. Oh, and a lot of karaoke.

1st night in New Orleans

We arrived around 3:30pm (CDT) in New Orleans. The house we're staying at is about 5 blocks from the French Quarter. It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, formal dining room, family room, and sitting room. It sleeps 9 - 12 people and there are only 4 of us so plenty of space.

The only problem with renting is finding a grocery or what we consider a grocery. It took us a while to find a grocery (supermarket) that wasn't just a food mart (which didn't have what we wanted) :) Oh well, live and learn and check out more before next trip.

The temperature was in the high 90's and humid but was bearable late in the afternoon, with temperatures dropping as the evening progressed.

We ate at a restaurant name Praline Connection. For what we paid for we received a lot of food and had some take home containers, we high recommend. We had everything from the seafood platter to poboys to meatloaf to fried chicken, all good!!!. We are pretty tired and will call an early night.


Tomorrow we are going on a Swamp tour and probably the Farmer's Market and of course to see what New Orleans nightlife is like. Looking forward to listening to live blues and jazz.

It's almost time!!

Wow only 8 days left!!!

There has been a lot of rain throughout the country. I hope that it will be nice the forecast for right now for Thursday & Friday of next week doesn't look promising but since I've looked now and the meteorologist haven't been too accurate that it will change by the time we leave. (For the better I hope).


Well the next time that I write I should be at our destination!!!!

Almost Time

Well it's is almost time for the trip. This has been two years in the making. I hope we have wonderful weather and can get some great pictures.

As of right now Potawotami Festival is out and a 1 day artist event is on. I will post more information as I receive it.

Rain, Rain, and more Rain and an update!!!

Rain is forecasted for the next 7 days!!! There better be a whole lot of May flowers with all of this rain!!!

The Potawotami Festival begins September 16th, 2011 and I will have a booth there so come by and say hi !!!

April Showers

Well I have gotten pretty lucky the only thing I have had to contend with was windy days. The rainy days held out until later in the week. Which makes it kind of bad to go out taking other photos but the soccer photos have come out nicely. I photographed 5 games on April 3rd and 4 games on April 10th. I have 6 games scheduled to photograph next week.

On another note, there is only 1 month and 21 days left until the trip. Once again I'm hoping for fantastic photos and having fun seeing the sights!!!

It is official I will have a booth at the Potawatomi Festival in Indiana September 2011. Hope to see you there!!!

Schedule Complete

Well, I miscounted the number of teams, there are 35 teams to photograph. I have completed my schedule and will be a very busy girl!!! Photos will be at my website, Travel The World Photos.

One week to go

The  soccer season begins April 3rd. There are 32 teams so a lot of photos to take in various locations. I'm mapping  out the where I need to be during various weeks. Should be interesting, can't wait... I'm still hyped!

Spring

Spring is around the corner, well officially about 5 days away. The forecast calls for warmer weather!! YEAH!!! I'm excited about not taking photo's in the freezing cold.

I want to give a shout-out Happy B-day to my son, he's 20 today!!!

Am looking into co-hosting an art exhibit of amateur artists from all different fields for the end of the year. I will have a website update when that becomes official.

I'll be photographing an exhibition match this weekend.

I will also be updating my gallery and that should be up by Monday, March 21st. The gallery can be seen at Travel The World Photos.

Busy, busy busy!!!

The weekend

I went out and photographed on Friday & Saturday. It was cold outside but I was able to get back into the swing of things. I think I'll have a nice collection this year!!

2011 Soccer Season Photo's

Well the website is up and running to post this years soccer pictures.  Travel the World Photos is the site and right now few of the 2010 pictures are up for viewing. The season begins April 3rd and will go for eight weeks.

Also I will hopefully be photographing a charity soccer game in June. I have a trip already planned for one weekend in June so I'm hoping it's not that particular weekend. I will get website information up closer to the date.

Photo's

Suppose to be sunny on Sunday. I hope so... I really want to get out and take photo's. Have a few locations in mind but it would be very dreary photo's if there isn't any sun, plus being cold and damp. :)

Decisions Decisions

Well...I'm mapping locations for photos. I hope we have good weather this year so that I can get  to all the locations that I want to get to.

Sports Photography

Sports photography beginning in April. Have to get some practice in. Also spring is around the corner and will be out getting the nature photos.

Upcoming Trip

Well it's 2 months 30 days until the trip to New Orleans. As I look at various things to do I think we're going at a great time. There seems to be a lot to do on the 1st Saturday of the month. I'm hoping for some spectacular photo's. I'm definitely looking forward to documenting our travels and sharing them with whoever wants to read. I'm also willing to take suggestions for future trips.

Upcoming Trip

Well we have 3 months and 7 days to the girls weekend in New Orleans. None of us have ever been so we are looking to have a wonderful time sight-seeing and trying out different foods.
