Day 2 - UP Michigan

Day 2 - Today we went fishing in the Au Train River which runs into Lake Superior. We found a terrific spot at the headwaters before Lake Superior. Hubby caught a Yellow Perch which is photographed and I caught a little Black Croppie which I didn’t photograph, both were tossed back because we were looking for bigger fish to cook on the grill.

There are many spots to fish up here so we are going to a different spot tomorrow!!

Also photographed is Morgan Falls, my favorite so far. It’s takes a lot out of your vehicle to get there, the road isn’t paved and it’s very bumpy, but the trip was worth it.

Day 1 - UP Michigan

Day 1 - Yesterday we went to Marquette, MI. The first photograph below was taken at the bike and foot path intersection at the marina. The second photograph was taken at the beach at Lake Superior. The water was pretty warm and I can’t wait to go back and do some swimming. Our cabin came with tubes that we can ride down the river all the way to Lake Superior. The third photograph was taken at Munising Falls and the fourth at Wagner Falls. As you can see there are a lot of waterfalls around the UP. After we returned back to the cabin we sat around until sunset and caught the last picture for the day.

We did see a baby black bear but didn’t stop to photograph because we had no clue where mama was. J

Michigan!!!

Well it has been 9 months since my last post :-( I am so sorry about not keeping up to date. Now that I am back hopefully I will be reporting more often.

I am now in Upper Peninsula Michigan. The weather is cool, but nice. It really beats the 104 degree weather we had to contend with this year.

Of course me being here means that photo's will be forthcoming! I will definitely try to post daily but I can't guarantee an internet signal it took me 20 minutes to get on this evening to post.


On a side note, I will be showing at the Potowatomi Art Show in Attica, Indiana September 14th - 16th and I will also be back showing at Art Squared in Fountain Square, Indianapolis, IN on September 22nd & 23rd.
